Shaman Macro: One Button Mounting

For this episode I will be covering a one button mounting macro for Shamans:

Here's how this macro works:

When your in a location you can’t mount, like a dungeon or inn, it will cast Ghost Wolf. When outside it casts Flying Machine. If your in the water it casts Water Walk. In Battle Grounds it will mount you on your Trike, and can Ride on the Water as a side effect of the “[swimming]Water Walk”.

As a bonus, this macro will change the icon depending on the mounting conditions. You can change the mounts you utilize just by switching up the mount names in the macro text.

General Use Macro: One Button Mounting

For this episode I will be covering a one button mounting macro;

Here's how this macro works:

Once you enter each type of mount you want to use for the type for flying and riding, such as if you are in a zone you cant fly in like Pandaria sub level 90. Just click the button and it will mount the most appropriate mount for the place you are in.

Next week I have a variation of this same macro for Shaman that is even more useful and will save 5 slots on your action bar.

Pet Battle Macro: Breed ID

For this episode I will be covering a battle pet breed macro;

Here is how these macros work:

Wild pets have different breeds, if you are out collecting various pets you want to make sure that you are getting the right breed to compliment your team. This macro will identify what breeds a pet in the wild is.

Once you enter into a pet battle with a wild pet you can click his macro and find out what breed you are fighting before you bother trying to capture it. It’s helpful to find out what breeds are available on a site like warcraftpets.com before you go hunting.

Warlock Macros: Kanrethad Fight

For this episode I will be covering a 3 macros fighting Kanrethad Ebonlocke in the final part of the Warlock Green Fire Quest;

You will want to make 3 separate macros and put them on the action bar that you will be using during the fight.

Here's how these macros work:

The first macro is for targeting and then enslaving the Pit Lord.

The second macro will target you and cast Fel Flame Breath that will do damage to you to remove the 2 debuffs that Kanrethad keep putting on you, Excruciating Agony and Seed of Terrible Destruction. You must keep dispelling them with the Pit Lord's Fel Flame Breath.

The third and final macro will cast Fel Flame Breath on a random Wild Imps that Kanrethad will summon periodically. This will damage them when they are grouped up in the center of the room.

I found a great strategy guide on YouTube. Good Luck this fight is no joke.

General Use: Warlock Green Fire Quest Soulstone Fragment Locations

For this episode I will be covering a macro for locating the 4 Soulstone Fragments for the Warlock Green Fire Quest;

You will need the addon TomTom for this macro, you can get it here.

Here is how this macro works:

Once you have your Sealed Tome of the Lost Legion and use it you will have a series of simple quests to complete. You will end up with a quest called Seeking the Soulstones. This quest will have you looking for 4 soulstone fragments scattered around Outlands. They are located at the same place in each of the 4 zones so the coordinates in this macro will put you standing on top of each fragment.

When you complete this quest the next quest, Seek the Signal, will have you go to the door of the Black Temple to start a scenario, that if you successfully complete, you’ll have your green fire.

Next week I will be covering the last set of macros to help you defeat the final boss in this scenario.

General Use Macro: TomTom, Isle of Thunder Rares

For this episode I will be covering a macro for locating the Rare Spawns on the Isle of Thunder;
You will need the addon TomTom for this macro, you can get it here.

Here is how this macro works:

If you are camping the rare spawns for the Sealed Tome of the Lost Legion or just for VP farming, this macro with help you locate which one is closer and can guide you to the spawn point the fastest most efficient way.

Haywire Sunreaver Construct - Stage 1
Mumta - Stage 1
Progenitus - Stage 1
Goda - Stage 1
God-Hulk Ramuk - Stage 3
Backbreaker Uru - Stage 4
Lu-Ban - Stage 4
Molthor - Stage 5

There are new rare spawns that are added at the different stages of progression on the Isle of Thunder. The macro has all of them in it so just delete the ones that are not in your current stage and then add them back as they are unlocked to keep your map clear from clutter.

Usually you can get your first kill and go from rare to rare clockwise and not have too much downtime between spawns but if there are multiple groups killing different rare spawns at the same time the spawn order can get a bit chaotic.

General Use Macro: Auto-Vendor Greys

For this episode I will be covering a really basic macro to auto-vendor grey items;

This Wow macro sells all of the items in your bags that are grey quality. This macro is great for leveling or cleaning out you bags after dailies.

Here is how this macro works:

When you open a vendor NPC simply click the button to run this script and it will sell all of your grey quality items to the vendor. There is no confirmation, so make sure there is nothing in there you want. It also prints in the chat window “sold” and item name, quantities and value.

Tillers Macro: Planting Seeds

For this episode I will be covering a really basic macro for the Tillers;

This macro is a great macro if you are just starting to experiment with macros. It’s very easy to build and will save you time.

Here is how this macro works:

Once you have tilled all of the soil plots and rid them of the pest or pests that may be left behind, go get the seeds you are planting. Whatever the names of the seeds are, enter that name exactly like it is spelled into the last line of the macro and hit save. Drag the macro to your action bar and you are good to go. All you need to do is click the macro and it will automatically target the tilled soil and plant the seed.

5.2 is supposed to be bringing changes that allow you to plant 4 tilled plots at a time so you may need to make some changes to this macro to keep it viable.

Warlock Macro: Demonology Burst DPS

For this episode I will be covering a Burst DPS macro for Demonology Warlocks;

This macro is good for PVP and PVE content if you are playing a Demonology speced Warlock.

Here is how this macro works:

Dark Soul: Knowledge will increase you Mastery by 18k for 20 secs. It will use your trinket equipped in slot 13 and cast Metamorphosis which will transform you into a demon, increasing your damage dealt by 24%.

The last line is up to you, you can cast Grimoire of Sacrifice or if you have a Wrathguard you can cast Command Demon. I put them both in the macro and you can delete on or the other when you create this macro.

If you decide to use Grimoire of Sacrifice in the macro remember to cast Demonic Rebirth to get your pet back in the fight ASAP.

Warrior Macro: One Button Banners

This warrior banner macro combines Demoralizing Banner, Mocking Banner and Skull Banner all into one button.

Here is how this macro works:
If you hold down control and keybind or click it will cast Demoralizing Banner. If you shift keybind or click it will cast Mocking Banner. Finally if you just click or keybind normally, it will cast Skull Banner. Move them around depending on your situation or role.

There is no macro (or addon) capable of auto placing your banner, so don’t bother trying to hunting one down.

Warrior Macro: Scatter-Bandage

For this episode I will be covering a Scatter Bandage macro for Warriors;

This macro is great for PVP when you need a last minute heal. You can use this macro while questing if you’ve bitten off more than you can chew by pulling to many mobs.

Here is how this macro works:
It casts Intimidating Shout, which fears your opponent. It then stops your attack so you get the most duration out of your fear. It then uses the bandage of your choice.

You can usually get at least a few ticks out of this before your fear breaks. Sometimes I’ve gotten a 4 or five.The script can be changed to also drink a potion or flask by entering another line into this macro.

Group Leader Macro: Pull Warning

For this episode I will be covering a Pull Warning macro for Group Leaders;

If you can’t get people to shut up during a raid or want to make the noobs hush during LFD, this macro may help. You can use this pull macro if you are a tank or just trying to move along the group. It does require Deadly Boss Mods to display the timer.

Here is how this macro works:
When you click this macro it sets the skull above your target’s head, yells a message and displays a DBM countdown timer. You change the number seconds you want, I use 5 so people hurry the fuck up. You can also edit the /yell line to say whatever you want.

Warrior Macro: One Button Intervene

For this episode I will be covering a One button Intervene macro for Warriors;

I use this macro all the time now since they made Intervene usable in all stances.

Here is how this macro works:
This macro will cast Intervene  on your target, if you have one. If you don’t, it will cast Intervene on the nearest friendly ally. When done, it goes back to your original target if you had one. This macro is a lot of fun in PVP. You can add some modifiers if you know how to make your own macros if you want to customize it further, for example substitute the target friendly command with the name of one of your banners or a shaman’s totem.

Achievement Macro: Shado-Pan

For this episode I will be covering an achievement Maco I got off of Cold's Gold Factory;

The Getting Around With The Shado-Pan Achievement requires you to complete 15 daily quests with each of the Shado-Pan Heroes.  (You just need to have them when you turn in the quests.)  Since you can only choose one per day, you need to keep an eye on which ones you have or haven't yet used, instead of always taking your favorite Shado-Pan hero along on your dailies.

There is also no default way to track your progress with the Getting Around With The Shado-Pan Achievement .  Go to the site for an awesome macro that you can copy / paste and create an in-game macro to check your progress with the Shado-Pan Achievement.

/run local a=7298 print(format("\124cffFFFF00TODO for %s\124r",GetAchievementLink(a)))for i=1,GetAchievementNumCriteria(a)do local d,_,c,x,y=GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(a,i)if not c then print(format("%s %d/%d",d,x,y))end end

Once you create this macro, simply pressing the macro button will list all of the Shadow-Pan heroes that you are still progressing for the achievement.  Once you have completed 15 Shado-Pan quest turn-ins with a specific hero that Shado-Pan hero will no longer display when you press this macro.  So create the macro and save yourself the trouble of figuring out which heroes you still need for the achievement.
